Remote, a company that enables businesses to employ a global team compliantly, is hiring a Legal Counsel - Employment (m/w/d) for its EMEA operations. The role involves delivering legal solutions for Remote's products and services, focusing on employment law issues in France and other EMEA jurisdictions. The successful candidate will work remotely, have several years of experience as a France-qualified employment lawyer, and be fluent in French and English.

Your responsibilities

• Take ownership of employment legal work for the jurisdiction(s) where you are qualified
• Support the Employment Team on jurisdictions globally where needed
• Help improve our processes, templates, and knowledge resources
• Promote a compliance-focused approach in everything we do
• Provide solutions rather than only escalating problems

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a France-qualified employment lawyer
• Extensive experience in advisory employment work including the entire employee lifecycle
• Interest in working for a tech-scaleup and specifically HR-tech
• Ability to learn Remote's communication, contract management, documentation, and task management systems
• Fluency in French and English, with knowledge of other languages being an advantage
